First post.
We just had an acre pond built in east texas about two months ago. We added a powerhouse surface but it is noisy enough to keep the frogs from talking and the wife and kids say it has got to go. What about the bubble aerators that go on the bottom of the pond? Pond water is super green too, wow really green. Looks like he bubble aerator would be much quieter, too.

Hey Zach,
I would go a Vertex System it's quiet and does the trick. Find Sue Cruz on this site and she can hook you up. She designed a system for me and I'm super happy with it. good luck

Zach,

Can you tell me the size of your ponds surface area and also your maximum depth? I would be happy to make you a recommendation for a diffused pond aeration system.

Also you are right, they are much quieter and if your pond is deeper then 5 feet then they area also much more effective for aeration.

thanks,

Daniel

Hey Zach if your a do it yourself kind of guy check out this link below. It's very simular to my orignal RC51 setup and mine has been working great now for almost 4 years in my 1 acre pond. I run mine 12 hours a day from dusk till dawn.

I have modified mine as of late though and am running it with 2 diffusers instead of 3. Only because my 1 fuser was gunked up pretty bad and I could not get it cleaned up so I just plugged it off. It runs good either way I think I actually have a little more upwelling of water with just 2 fusers as I don't have to push air to a 3rd fuser.

If your pond is over 10 feet deep though I would look for something a little stronger as far as a pump goes. I have mine is 8 to 9 feet and it does just fine. Of course if your wanting someone to give you a turn key operation then there are some great folks on this site that can surely help you with that as well.

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!

The pond is one acre 15-16 deep. More deep area than shallow.
