Hi guys,
I am looking at building a pond on my ranch for fishing. I am wanting catfish and maybe bass stocked in this pond. Research online brought me to this site and it looks really helpful. Lots of great resources on here.
On to the pond talk. My ranch is located in Texas about 50 miles south of Houston. Its mainly cropland and is extremely flat. I have several agricultural irrigation wells on the property so I have access to plenty of water. About 3 years ago we attempted to build a duck pond near one of our wells by building up a 6 ft levee. The area is approx 400ft x 400ft. I was wondering if I could have this just dug down to be a stock tank?
Does anyone know of a pond contractor in maybe the Houston/South Texas area thats good?
Thanks,
John

Got an idea. We have a member here named Cheyenne. He is an Arkansas rice farmer who raises monster fish. Go to the user list, look him up and get in touch. Look at some of his posts here.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
