Maybe yall can help me with this. I stained the cypress siding on my house with Flood CWF oil based stain a couple of years ago. It washed of in places so i stripped all the old stain of yesterday. Do any of yall know of a good transparent ot semi-transparent stain or waterproofer that would work good and hold up for 4 or 5 years? Theres so many different opinions on the internet that i cant really figure out what will work good.

I have used Olympic semi-transparent on cedar houses for 35+ years and had good results. Make sure you use oil base or it will peel. We mix all of the stain in a trash can so it will be the same color.
