Very nice. Love the shape of those gills..........

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.

Huge bg, congrats...didn't you just stock the HSB? Has the fishing improved with the rain and a bit cooler temps? Fishing in central Il for a couple days next week and was curious.

Beautiful fish.

Before Pond Boss, I wonder how many of us ever thought we could regularly catch citation-size bluegill.

Thanks for the photos.

Fishing is outstanding right now.. I'll be on Carlyle lake all day Thursday and Friday.. And Cat I give all the credit too this site.. The HSB were stocked about a month ago they are really aggressive now on the feed, I caught maybe 8-10 of them and they fight like sharks it's unbelievable first time ever catching them.. Hopefully they survive I've read they are really finicky but te water quality is great right now nice and cool fresh water so I figured they survive..

Fishing story fe you guys.. I hooked the biggest bluegill to date tonight but it broke my line so basically it's just a crappy story.. frown

All my secrets came from this site.. Keep every BG under 8", keep all female except monsters with helmet head.. Lots of feed, good water quality, never keep any bass unless it's over 8lbs.. That's about it..

So how many fish did you catch in total?

Do you pull many out like this at a time?

Prolly 20-30 total BG 10 or so big ones te rest were under 8" and tossed out.. Also caught maybe 10 HSB they went back..

I can pull big ones out most of the time is the water is good and cool and there aggressive..

Also this was maybe an hour if me and a buddy fish for a couple hours well clean 75-100 under 8" and prolly throw back atleast 20-25 big ones..

I know where your pond is. Don't make me come up there! grin

As I said in another thread recently, I think us BG people are really starting to push what everybody thought was impossible just a few years ago.

Thanks for posting. I wonder who will be the first to break the 15 inch barrier.

Thanks also to people like Condello and Lusk, who really started this whole big BG revolution.

Honestly mine really seem to be topping out at 11" but I'm only 2 years into managing them.. I have 100's in the 9.5-10.5" range.. When i do catch the occasional 11"er they are always 1.5lbs or more.. SUCKS I DROPPED MY DIGITAL SCALE IN THE POND.. So I haven't weighed any in the last 6 weeks..

Here's a 11"er I caught last year right under pound and a half.. Swallowed the hook so I had to fry and swallow him smile
