My pond was way low last year, under two feet in depth. The snow melted and it came up 5+ feet. what steps do i take now for producing big bass in the future? The pond has bg, crappie, bass, and a few cats. Im guessing i will have a lot of bg spawning due to the amount of shallow water, any help would be great.

howdy john wayne....great name.
are you going to be able to keep it deeper than 5 feet this summer?....i think that'd be the first step.
how big is the pond? i'll just throw this second step out here (but you'll want to wait for more expert opinions when the experts return from the Big PB convention going on right now):
so.....second step...boost forage and get rid of unhealthy or problem fish (i.e. harvest as many crappie as possible, let the BG spawn as much as possible, and evaluate the lmb, are they healthy, skinny, stunted? and harvest appropriately).
GSF are people too!
