Just wanted to say hi. I have been scouring your forums for a couple of weeks which resulted in using aluminum sulfate and hydrated lime to clear out our pond this past weekend. The results were amazing!!!
Once the water cleared up we were shocked to see how many fish were in there... we had stocked a few LMB a couple of years ago but thought they had all died... but nope! There they were, swimming around happily. (well, happily might be a stretch considering they haven't been able to see anything in a while....)
Anyway, we are "fixing up" our pond mostly for swimming but hopefully also for a little fishing so I am sure I will be around with questions. You guys have so much information on here my head is spinning! But thanks!!

Welcome ClearWater! Great to hear some of the comments on here have helped you out. That's why it's here. Stick around and tell us more about your pond. Do you have before and after pics by chance?

I might be able to dig up some before pictures... but I can attach some after! Just imagine it as liquid mud before. The pond is about 1 surface acre and approximately 2 acre feet. I am currently reading up on the best fish combinations for a swimming/ light recreational fishing pond... so hoping to find the perfect combo that will give us the clearest water and the fewest fish nibbles. I will be back with questions, but I will try and put them on the appropriate forum! Here's our pond now:
