I am a newbie forum poster from CT. I have been looking for a sight to get help with my small pond and it's burgeoning sunfish population. 4 years ago we purchased the typical New England farmhouse with 5 acres a pond and a small barn. The pond is roughly 1/4 acre and LOADED with sunfish. It has a brook leading in and a brook leading out and this time of year with all the rain the water is muddy and high In 2009 we added 3 large mouth bass one has survived and is about 12 inches long now. Should I add a few more LMB? The brook that leadsd out of my pond runs into another pond a mile or so down the road and that pond is great LMB fishing. I am considering catching a few and releasing them into my pond but want to make sure that's a good idea. The pond also has a population of 4 semi wild mallard ducks who come back every spring. So should I add a few LMB maybe a couple chain pickeral? HELP!!!!!!

That's hard to answer without knowing your goals for your pond. A few LMB = larger LMB. A lot of LMB = large sunfish.
What type of sunfish? There's a sunfish primer in the archives if you want to look at pictures to ID them.
