just last year, i was singing the blues about the pond i had worked so hard to manage. 2 huge floods in 2 years had almost completely wiped out 9 years worth of work. starting over was SO frustrating. but at the same time it was exciting. i had a chance to learn from previous mistakes and set new goals. i ditched my old methods and i have set out to grow big bass using the triple threat of shiners, bluegill, and supplemental feeding. and now i am starting to experiment with tilapia to take even more pressure off the bluegill. it looks like there might be hope. here's one from this spring. 6 lbs. 14 oz. at just less than 21" long. you can tell by the size of its head and mouth that it's a young fish with plenty of room for growth and improvement. i never thought i'd see another trophy come out of this pond again. now it looks like it just might happen. keeping my fingers crossed for a real monster within the next 2 years.

That fish looks great, congrats and well done!
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.
