So its been awhile since I got my trout. And all the sudden they are swimming at the surface and two of them are dying. They are smaller btw. They have food and clean cool water. And plenty of oxygen what can I do to save them?

Joe have you tested the water for oxygen content, and do you have any type of aeration? Also are you adding water from any other sources.

Send a PM to Cecil. He has experience using well water for trout. He has to run the water thru at least five 5 gallon buckets that have bio balls or something like that in it to aerate the water, and remove iron and other things that are nasty to trout. Just pumping in well water and aerating it might not be enough treatment of the well water.

Ditto on contacting Cecil. A degassing column looks like this: Well water is basically just wet. Not suitable for fish, especially trout. Degassing columns are the easiest way to strip out all of the other gasses so the water will accept oxygen.

Are you sure they are dying? This time of year I see mine swimming the perimiter of the pond looking for a place to spawn. They do it for a few days, then things go back to normal.
