Hi all. I've been lurking for a couple of years now. I live on an island in northwest WA and own property with a circular pond on it that is 95 feet in diameter. I think that makes it about 1/6 acre. It is 13 feet deep at full pool.

Access to fisheries is severely limited here, but I did stock put and take rainbow trout for a couple of years and had some fun with that. The pond is about 20 years old and the fishery people said it looked like it was "mature" and that I probably wouldn't need to feed. I never did and those 3" to 5" rainbows got up to 15 inches over a three year period. I'm not really a trout guy and got a little bored with them so after their numbers began to dwindle I conscripted from local lakes about 50 pumpkinseeds from 4 to 6.5", about 6 YP from 5 to 9", and about two dozen LMB, most in the 8 to 10 inch range and, two in the 1.5 lb range, and one 2.25 lb fish.

I know you guys aren't big fans of bucket stocking, but like I said my options are very limited where we are.

Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself and start posting. I have some pictures to post and was wondering if there was a tutorial thread or something on how to post pictures.

Thanks,

Ted

Hey Ted,

Welcome to the PBF!! Great to have you! Would love to see a few pics of your place. I think in the pictures section there is some how to instructions for putting in pics.

Good Luck and welcome!

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!

Nice to hear from someone in my neck of the woods, I'm down on whidbey and you aint kidding about being limited when it comes to getting anything other than bucket stocking. I'm currently planning a small pond and, as of today, going to be helping a friend get his pond at the place they are buying up to snuff. I'd love to see the pictures
