If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

No, Hotel California. You can check out but you can never leave.

BTW working out three days a week has mellowed me out. My parents that are in their mid 70's got me started at a local health club. I'm not as tense as I used to be. My new motto is: Don't sweat the small stuff. I've lost 20 lbs too. No more protruding belly!

This is great news!!!! I very much admire Cecil and he adds sooo much to the forum. Glad you're back skinny. I'll be lurking and enjoying the forum even more now. The Hotel California is so Cecilist, made me smirk and that is why I always like his posts. I think Cecils problem is that he is a true artist and we all know how weird that group is. Just happy he did'nt resort to cutting his ear off. Bob-O

I'd be happy for Dwight if he produced a 10 lb. bass. It would a be a joy to mount.

Glad to see you're still here too Bob. What's the latest on your pond?

Amazing how I replicated the ice and water isn't it? It took lots of resin. wink

Thanks Cecil. The pond is doing pretty well, the YP are in the 12-15'' range, I added 4 WE last yr and the aeration system Bill helped me with is going strong. Still muddy water but with my clay it always will be. Last yr my 3 yr old grandson hooked up with a 16" HSB, bout lost the pole a couple of times but finally got it up on the bank. After we put it back he said " Pa Pa, can we catch some little fish now? Have your folks left to Florida yet and are you planning a visit down there? I'm leaving the 30th of this month. Take care and don't lose anything through the ice this yr. Bob-O
PS You could probably sell that picture, it is just weird enough to be cool.

Wow 12 to 15 inches! shocked Good job!

To funny with the grandson. Must have scared him. laugh

If you can get a hold of some aluminum sulfate it probably wouldn't take much to clear the pond permanently as long as you have good ground cover around the pond.

Parents are going back in November. If I can fly down and back again cheap I will do so. I can't justify driving anymore. Just too much of a hassle to drive that far.If I go down this time I'm bringing the fishing tackle.

Wow 12 to 15 inches! Good job! Thank you but all I did was follow your and Bills advice, nature and Aquamax did the rest. The best price I've found to fly down is on Allegiant Airlines. Go to Allegiant.com and click on the third choice down. I just checked and a flight from Ft. Wayne to Orlando/Sanford Fl. on 11-28-11 is $89.99 and a flight back a week later is $59.99 per, since you're takin yer fishin tackle I did'nt know if you were takin the boss. You need to check often as they change there prices ofte. Also they only fly two days each week. I go to Bradenton and the RV gets 10 mpg and I figured conservatively about $535 each way @ $3.50 a gallon. I just bought a Mercury Grand Marquis which will get double the milage. I'll just buy a cheap camper or RV when I get there. If you decide to go and want to hook up for some fishin, let me know. I"m thinking your folks go to the east coast but I would'nt mind cruisin over there. Again, glad yer back! Bob-O

You've slipped below master angler status, Cecil? Congrats on the weight loss, but you won't make nearly as impressive a mount, now.
