This summer I came into possession of a 1 acre pond about 15 years old, it used to have trout in it, but prior to june this year, there wasnt as much as a single minnow in the pond, the water was also very mucky, and green.

I am happy to say though, after investing in healthy bacteria and airation, the pond is crystal clear now, and i have 150 happy and active 12 - 13 inch trout ( which I stocked about 3 weeks after the bac & air )

I also bought about 1500 minnows 3 months back ( various species it seems ) and they have since turn into what looks to me like 50,000 or more now, and growing.

I read time and time again about not mix species of fish, But I wanna state that I'am not looking to farm trout, or have them for any other reason then to eat and enjoy watching them grow, but I really would like to mix up a few more fish in there if at all possible.

Next weekend I and stocking another 200 - 300 added 10" rainbows, and I also ...
( and heres my question ) would really really like to add say 15 - 25 walleyes.
I have so many minnows, in there, I really doubt food would be an issue, let alone the emmence amout of bugs thet fly over the water. Not to mention I have ALOT of friends more then willing to fish out and eat ( even pan fry size ) any amount of non trout fish that ever got out of hand.

Can I do this???

Thanks

JP

Should not be a problem at all considering walleye likely will not spawn (and subsequently overpopulate) in a pond of that size. If anything, based on your description, I would say you desperately need more predators.
