Hi all,
My current pond is located in Gleason WI on 29 acres along the Prairie River. If anyone has any questions about building a pond within 500 Ft of a navigable river let me know. After 2 years of
public hearings, meetings with the DNR, Corp of Engineers I can prolly answer your questions.

It is 330 X 120 14' deep, lined, 3 aerators and has/had 50 bass and 100 hybrid gills. I leave one southern aerator running in the winter and had an otter visit each week. So far this year no sign of my 14" bass and 12" gills. I have a few thousand pictures of all stages for this design. Let me know if you would like to see any specific photos.

Next up, my amazing wife and I will buy 20 Acres in Florida and do it all again. We live on a lake with way too many people so we will sell and look for our next paradise.

Only dead fish swim with the stream!

Welcome to Pond Boss. I expect the otter got your fish.
Hope things work out well in Florida.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Welcome to the forum... Sounds like you'll have a lot of knowledge to share. Otters are IMO the worse animal problem a pond can have.
