Now there's a fish vs. those ugly tigers! AP, Any idea if there has ever been any brook trout planted in your stream other than the natives?
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Man, I wish I were there! Can you please post some photos of your stream in the Spring AP?

I've checked with records and nothing indicates that the stream was ever stocked by the state.

I'm a sucker for a clear clean stream and waterfall...thanks AP - soothes the soul.
I bet you can sit there for hours listening to the water run over the rocks. Can you hear it when you're sleeping or chilling out at your house?

We built the cabin about 150ft. from the waterfall so that we can see it thru the trees, when it is running good it vibrates the windows. The funny part is when we snowshoed the property there was 3 ft of snow on the ground and everything was froze, the real estate agent told us there was a stream on it and the topo confirmed that, but we didn't know there was a waterfall untill after we bought it.

Have you explored upstream to see where it's spring fed other than the snowmelt in the spring? Does it go down quite a bit during a drought?

Cecil the stream originates from a large mountain pond about a mile away, and is joined by atleast 3 smaller streams before it gets to my property. The pond is very shallow and sits in a bowl between 2 mountains and the few people who live there told me there are only perch, pumpkinseeds and bullheads in the pond. The only things I've found in the stream are BRKT, PS's and Crayfish
Three years ago we had a very dry summer and there was still plenty of flow so it appears that there are enough springs supplying the mountain pond and feeder streams.
Since putting in the 3 small dams on the stream I've noticed a good increase in the number of BRKT.

Creating trout habitat in streams would be a fun project, and very rewarding I think.
