I didn't have scales with me that day and had a friend of mine with me that influenced me in the wrong way, (by telling me that the fish wasn't over 8 lbs and to throw it back). So i threw it back without weighing it and it's killing me to know what i threw back.. Please help me out here??? Last edited by frisbeethrower; 04/23/11 11:08 AM.

Although I never caught it, it added excitement to know it was in there. Mounts cost $ and the fish won't grow on your wall. You must have a real nice fishing spot! FWIW: I know the father of someone who caught, in a relatively small public lake, and released a LMB that easily exceeded our state record. He simply fishes for personal satisfaction and didn't care about having a record. Something kind of neat about that.
