Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Emergency Overflow Repaired

I have an emergency overflow repair I have addressed and wonder if I have corrected the problem. I have a pond where the emergency overflow constantly ran. The water level stayed up so I never worried about it until recent. The levy formed a trench running across it. This seems to be in line with the overflow. I recently filled it up with creek stone, rip rap rock,sand,dirt,and clay. The water quit running out. Since then it has rained ALOT with more in the forcast. The pond has filled up quite a bit and the overlow pipe at the North end is now draining water. The emergency overflow is still not working. Are things working correctly? Did I fix it or clog it up? Cautiously watching.

I just talked to Mike Ottow on the phone. I think he answered my question. Sounds like I fixed the problem . I will watch it. Thanks for the info Mike.

He said it sounded like I fixed the problem. The north Pipe should remove the water before the emergency overflow activates . So far... that is what is happening. It is very important to get the fixed levy seeded ASAP and try and control the critters, I.E. Beavers and Muskrat, that caused the problem in the first place. This is not Mike's exact words.
