I am seeking some advise from someone as to how and check for a leak in a garden pond. It is about 25ft long x 11ft wide in an hr glass shape. The water goes down to a certain point and stays. I have jumped into my waders and looked all around the pond at the water level point looking for a sign of where the water would leak and cannot find anything. It is very frustrating to say the least. Any ideas?

Any bubbles when it's full pool that you've noticed? Might consider just sealing the top foot or so that doesn't currently hold water.

Someone more knowledgeable about these things can take it from here, but they sell sealants for ponds that you can probably easily apply to a small pond like you have there.

So it obviously doesn't have a liner?
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

it does have a liner- I think I will wait til the water level stops and then fill it about 2 inches and poor milk along the sides and see if it trails toward the leak-

You may try to contact Anderson. They make a product called Leak Trac. A few years back they provided me with a local swimming pool company that had one. I almost talked the pool guys into coming out and trying it on my pond.....but without a liner it probably won't work. If you are lucky, maybe someone near you and will come out and try it.
