It's tough JKB, no doubt about it. Nothing we can say will make you, or her, feel better. Our prayers will continue. I literally hurt for you so bad man. Please stay stoic for her and know your Pond Boss brothers are thinking of your family during this time.

Prayers for her and the family.

Thanks All!

Mom is now back at Spectrum Health, because Her lungs were filling up with fluid again, more than the drip system they had on her could handle at home.

Blood transfusion last night to correct blood pressure. A few more prodding's and test's for tonight and tomorrow.

My Mom does not drink, smoke, or use drugs! She is 73 and the Morphine they are pumping into Her, is causing Her to sleep more than the doc's want.

I cant do anything about any of this stuff, because it is out of my capabilities.

Thanks

JKB, it's hell having to sit on the sidelines and not able to do a thing. Just being there giving moral support says a lot.

This past month sure has been a roller coaster ride. Some days, things look good, other days not so well.

A friend of mine at work, Jerry, had a pretty bad stroke this past Friday. Dave, whom I work with every day, took last Monday off to celebrate his 25th anniversary, only to have this special day clouded with news that his nephew had suddenly passed away the same day.

Sure is a lot of bad stuff happening to close people that I am not use to dealing with.

JKB - Please know prayers are being offered for Adele, you, and the rest of your family. I really feel the need to share a story with you about when my Dad passed away 2 years ago. He was in a Hospice Home and hadn't eaten or drank anything for days, and couldn't speak over a whisper. All of a sudden, he started shouting in a voice loud enough that it brought nurses into the room (two of my sisters were there). He was saying "I see it, I see it. It's more beautiful than I could ever have imagined!" With tears of happiness rolling down his cheeks, he then said the Lord's Prayer, still in a booming voice. When he finished the prayer, he hollered "hip hip hooray, hip hip hooray". How awesome is that? We found such peace when that happened, truly it was a gift from God. I hope you can find peace in it too.

Wow. No doubt.

I had an uncle who was retarded from birth and after my grandmother - his mom - died, my father went to tell him about it. When he got there, my uncle told dad before he could even say anything that "Mom died. Pop came and told me." The awesome thing is that Pop had died probably 30 years earlier and no one else was home but one sister who had not yet heard the news either. This same uncle died a number of years later and, in his last minutes while lying in the hospital bed, said to one of his younger brothers, "It's time for me to go. Mom and Pop are here now and they said I should come with them." He died with a smile on his face.

God does provide some pretty amazing glimpses of His reality for us.

Another nice story Todd. Thanks.

While at the hospital today I was reading of other similar stories.

I also learned today what is actually happening, the process of dying.

Mom is in a steady sleep state that changed to a very peaceful mode about 2AM. Her body is slowly shutting down and no one really knows how long because it is different for every person.

The Hospice literature, talking to the hospital social worker staff, talking with my boss today (he lost both parents to cancer, and the person I replaced at work also died from lung cancer), and your prayers, helped me to understand and accept.

I feel a sense of peace now, Thanks!

I left the hospital a little while ago because it was getting really crowded. I have seven sisters and three brothers, so you can imagine!

I got there the second time yesterday after hours. They only allow three people in per room after hours, but they allowed 25 of us to hang out all night long!

I was talking to the staff in charge last night, and they never see this size of crowd. The gal in charge said she would have kicked us all out, but we were so well behaved;... Good Genetics smile

Wait till the rest of us show up grin

Peace, and Thanks! smile

I've just got something in my eye...

Very touching, JKB. It sounds like there is quite a legacy in you and your siblings; more than most.

Thanks for keeping us in.

JKB, it sounds like you have a pretty large family. I hope I'm not speaking out of place, but you can increase the family size by 7,298 now.
