wanted to post these numbers and get some advise.
These were done for me by my local pool supply Co.

Ph. 7.9
Total Alkalinity- 120
Phosphates- 100
Calcium Hardness- 450
salintiy- 2.1 (he had a little digital prob that he stuck in the water and it read 2.4) when asked 2.4 what? He was not sure. he Started a couple weeks ago.. But he said that a saltwater pool should have between 2.7 and 3.4 if that helps?

The pond is close to brownsville tx ( Deep-South,TX), it's ground water and flows through fine sand, the high grade used in constuction.its an old sand pit, aprox 10ft deep
water is pretty clear, visability to 3ft or so.

Any advise on this would be appreciated?

That thread is worth a look as it explains salt in ponds.

read the thread, does the 2.1 mean 2.1% salt content? that would be high wouldn't it? in your opinion would i have a problem with recruitment in future years with my BG and Bass? i know my forage should be fine..Gams and Mexican tetras..both tolerate and thrive in high salinity.
