My waterfront is a 3 acre shallow (1-5 ft) section of a larger lake. Can I use a trash pump to remove the silt at the bottom which is slowly filling in my section?

Hey! I noticed this post right after I made a similar post in the Questions section. I've got a similar problem and question as that. So far, my only remedy is a shovel and bucket method - but I'm old (and lazy) and I can't shovel that much.
If you're too scared to throw that bait where the fish are, why did you tie it on?
