That BH looks like he wants to be a FHC - almost looks like one to me. Very cool - they are pretty in clear water like that. Almost...handsome?

That BH looks like he wants to be a FHC - almost looks like one to me. Very cool - they are pretty in clear water like that. Almost...handsome? Dang TJ! First you fall for GSF....now a Bullhead??? Condello needs to give you a placebo and pull a tooth bro! I gotta admit, that BS,,,err BH does look pretty cool in the aquarium! I can only hope the tail in it's mouth was a GSF.

Neat looking brown bullhead. I have kept them in aquariums in the past and they are glutinous! They are nasty little night time predators in an aquarium...

Brown bullheads are the cream of the crop when it comes to bullheads. Harder to find around here than the yellows, and blacks. I think if I recall correctly that they are somewhat less prone to overpopulate than the others. The brown color, and black chin barbels sure do make this fish appear to be a brown. They are also larger on average than the other bullheads. Neat aquarium inhabitant. Still ain't no flathead! One interesting tidbit, Do you where to find YOY flatheads? They tend to live in swift riffles their first year of life. I occasionally seine up funny looking madtoms, which upon closer inspection turn out to be flathead juveniles.
