has anyone every built their own? i'd like to make one for a jon boat and think i've got it figured out, but wanted to check and see if anyone knew of actual plans.
the fully built ones are just too dang expensive....

Here is some plans for building a floating dock. http://www.canadianfishing.com/dock/index.htmCould build the above and have a hinged ramp in the middle covered with smooth rubber. Here is a top view of what I'm talking about, one side of the ramp will prob need to be weighted (so it will stay slightly submerged) while the other should have some flotation to hold up the boat. I'm just guessing, not sure if it would actually work.

Lots of folks here have built floating docks but I don't recall any that have a drive on for boats.
Hopefully we can get some feedback from Natester....you should see some of the docks that he has built.
