I found this blob of stuff floating near the shore. I poked it with a stick (isn't that the first thing you do when you don't know what it is? lol). It was really thick and slimy, like thick snot. It has 100's of those little black things, kind of like eggs.

Look like gray tree frog eggs to me. They are late breeders.

We had a floating mass like that 2 years ago, 6 foot in diameter. Ours ended up being black leaches... the bass made quick work of it when they started getting larger. These seem to have tails though so frogs would make more sense.
