Got up at 4:00AM drove over to Overton Fisheries and met Todd. Got 30 lbs of Tilapia and got home and just put them in the pond. It started raining so pictures were not good. Thanks Todd. Anyone else stocked Tilapia yet?

Interesting Larry, I didn't know you had plans to stock Tilapia.

Yeah Jeff, We had some several years ago at Zephyr pond. The pond was the cleanest we ever had. We had trouble getting them the next year and the pond looked terrible. So we are excited about having tilapia for several reasons.

Did you drink some beers w/ Overton (or TechnoViking), or was it just too early?

We got there real early. But then again, beer isn't just for lunch anymore. You can have it for breakfast too.

Your answer, heybud, is as good as "I have no recollection of that, Senator."

Stocked my Tilapia on Tuesday. A few of them may be a nice snack for my LMB/HSB as they were under 5". I put 10#'s in my .75 acre pond.

Is Overtons open on Saturdays for fish sales now? I was going to get my tilapia fix last weekend and got their recorder so I didn't chance the trip. I've been Jonesing all week now.

Are you going to take pictures or just tell us about the experience?

I called and made an appointment. Sometimes Todd has to deliver a fish order and can't be around.

I think your phone has a camera in it.

Clint, aka TechnoViking, could have had a few beers with you!

Scott,

I won't be to you before May 10th buddy. Sorry!!

The season goes into overdrive on 4/22 with deliveries in Al, Ms, Ga, Tn, Ky, Ar, Ok, Ks, Mo, Il, and ending in Ne on the 27th!!!

I get a couple days at home and then head to Ar, Ia and Il again on 5/3. The next couple weeks will be spent delivering to you in IN and all over Ohio, Wv, Pa, Va, Nc, Sc, Fl, La, and Al again.

Of course, I am delivering all sorts of species on these runs and not just tilapia. Over 2000 pounds of shiners and 1#+ feed trained LMB are going out along with 1000's and 1000's of all sizes of RES, BG, HBG, CNBG, FH, GC, F-1 N and Fl LMB, CC, BC, and Hybrid Crappie....NO GSF ALLOWED!!!

Tilapia and all fish stocking days have definitely arrived!!!! lol
