Hey guys/gals I am going to get 50, 4inch CNB on Saturday. They said they would cost 75 cents each. Does that sound about right? I am not sure what 4 inch CNB should cost.
Thanks

Those same fish would cost me around $3 a piece out here in Cal. If I could get them. Prices depend on location. Maybe if I raised a Confederate flag over my pond I could get a better deal?

we sell em for $.90 at that quanttiy and $.80 for over 2000 good deal your getting. Ask the weight you want them at or above 60 lbs/1000 for decent chance to survive bass predation.

Hey thanks guys for the input. I appreciate it. My supplier is in Lonoke here about 20 minutes from me. Like Greg Grimes has told me in the past I live right next to fish hatchery heaven!! I just wanted to make sure it was a good deal and it sounds like it is.
Thanks a bunch!

Just and update,
Hey all I got the 50 CNB and they were quite nice I must add. I believe some of them were actually pushing almost 5 iches. For .75 cents each I believe I got a GOOD DEAL!! I got them from Hopper Stephens in Lonoke county Arkansas. Thanks to Greg Grimes for giving me the heads up about me being right next to fish hatchery heaven. This place is only 15 minutes from my house and they have everything except F1's and FL. LMB. They only carry the No. LMB. Thanks again Greg for the info.

Hey Eric,
No sorry I did not think of that till I had let them all go but they were nice and healty fish. I was impressed. Most were 4 inches long and about 3 inches tall or so. Big enough where my 12 inch bass should think twice before they try to eat them anyway. I guess I need to get some RES that size as well as it looks like I got the yellow grub parasite so I must have some snails in my water. And some FRICKEN birds that I don't want around. When I get the RES I will take a couple of pics.

RC51 you're even closer than I am. I'm in woodruff county. Hopper Stephens is a good group to deal with. If you ever get interested in HSB there is no place better than Keo Fish Farms.

Just browsing and saw this post. Got some minnows from Hopper-Stephens last week, nice folks. Glad they have a good reputation here. They are only about 5 miles from my pond. Ya'll are right, we have our choice of places to get fish in this part of the country.

TigerFan what's up? You live in Lonoke area? I have used Hopper Stephens a couple of times now and they been pretty good. The only thing that I don't like about them is they don't have Golden Shiners. But they were all nice people and decent prices. I live in NLR but my pond is in Batesville. Welcome to the Forum.

Live in Cabot and have 7 acres with our new pond between Cabot and Furlow off 89. Good to see some locals on here. Didn't see them on Arkansas Game and Fish site but saw theie sign going that way once. Need to get some BG from there, do they have coppernose, hybrids etc? I'm leaning toward the CNBG for our 1/3 acre pond.

They have CNBG but I doubt you will get anything with any size at this point. I bought mine in FEB. that seems to be the best time for them to get bigger fish. I have called them last week looking for so RES and the kind lady on the phone said all they have now are 1.5 to 2.5 inch fish in both CNBG and RES. And that will get ate up QUICK in my pond so no since in doing that. If you can get smaller fish then they should be able to help you out. But if you need 4 or 5 inch fish not sure what to tell you at this point unless you catch them yourself and give them a new home! Talk to ya later,

Don't think it would matter. Its a new pond, just finished 2 months ago and only has minnows in it. Any idea how many at that size for a 1/3 acre pond? Read somewhere where it was recommended 200 fingerlings for a 1/4 acre pond so I would guess that would be close. Minnows and CNBG now and a few lmb next Spring is the plan.
