I recently purchased a house with a pond. See this post> My Pond The water has been froze for weeks now and nothing is draining into the pond. The water clarity is like 8 inches if that. I thought after ice forms the water should settle and clear up... Any thoughts?

Break through the ice, put some of the water into a clear jar and let it sit in your house for a week or so... So if it settles on it's own. If not, then you know you have some work to do as it isn't fish, animals or run off causing the sediment to stay suspended.
