Thanks everyone. Nice weather today, 36 and heavy rain, lovely. Almost made it very memorable. Office started leaking. Metal roof thought I better check it out while raining to see if i can find it. Ever seen the pitch on a metal roof, well. I started on the not so step lean portion we added on then time to climb steep section. Slippery (duh) so to spite the cold I took off the boots and went bare foot, little better traction that way and on my knees. I get to top of the roof and look over other side kinda started freakin’ for a sec as rain got harder but not long b/c started sliding. Hit the lean portion and kept going right over the edge, luckily spun just in time to catch balance and land on my bare feet in the mud. Should have got a Darwin award for that one. Employee holding ladder on otherside ran over and I said whew I guess folks pay big money for a ride like that.
Just had a nice deer cube steak dinner and yes first duck hunt in the am so all is good. Wyatt gave me extra big hug as I just put him to bed.

Hmmmm, I can tell someone hasn't been reading Brettski's thread lately or you would have known not to venture out on the metal roof in the rain!!!!!

Hmmmm, I can tell someone hasn't been reading Brettski's thread lately or you would have known not to venture out on the metal roof in the rain!!!!! All depends on how you prepare yourself on the way down and how you figure you can meet the soil (or ground) once down. Personally, I would rather have a harness and tether. I know, that sounds kinda wimpy but, I don't like major pain, specially if it lasts 4 or 5 months and someone has to help you to Poo. No fun for anyone. Be safe!

actually 39 now. It only seems like yesterday when...
Wyatt went one day with me to a deer blind. This morning swamp was flooded from heavy rains. i went over my waders trying to get to open water. For GA quite a number of ducks, green heads too but no shooting for me. Cold ride home with wet clothes got a gallon of GA swamp water out of thermal socks. Rainman gotta find a little easier duck hunting spot before I take wyatt on one. Dog had fun to spite my lack of shooting.
So today not on roof in rain but still got plenty wet.
