There are things in life in which the advertised performance are slightly exaggerated. I believe some members here have found that to be true, and have gone to CNBG for Southern waters and good genetic BG for Northern waters.

If you do a search here on Georgia Giants for posts/threads in the past year or 2 you will have your questions answered without getting anyone on the moderators radar. (I'm not talking about you!)

You should find lots to read about them here.

Great fish, man who sales them has a bad reputation as a businessman, I have raised them with good success.
As Ewest said you can't go wrong with CNBG in the south.

I have nothing to add except the reassurance that you have no need to be sorry. Questions are what this forum is all about. Yes, using the search function will help you to answer many of your own questions, but this forum is all about Q & A by the finest folks.
...and then there's Sunil

What's a Georgia Giant? Are they as good as the Condello or Bardello strain?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Furthermore, many of us have had problems getting exactly what we want out of the search function at times.

I have problems searching as well. docg, forgive me, I didn't mean to sound short. There have been some "interesting" discussions about the GG. ;\)

I actually very rarely use the actual search function. It is much easier and saves hours of time to ask the question and let Ewest pull up the appropriate link

Let me know what you find out about the GG!

I know Sunil is no Georgia Giant. Is it a fish or mammal? I was sure it was a dolphin/porpoise.

Perhaps someone should point out that Georgia Giants have been a very controversial topic on the board in the past and hence the suggestion that reading old posts might be advisable.

Yes how true and as usual very good advice. I picked out a good example early in this thread. No doubt GG are the single most contentious unbanned topic here.

Hey Grandpa, how have you been doing?

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Bill, no plans for another pond in your future?
