I like the core sampling drill.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Interesting project.
Can you tell us more about the set up you have on the core sampling drill. Did you build the frame or was that purchased? What bit extensions did you use to go to 20' depth? This looks like it could have many uses.
Thanks,

I would like to know that also. Most of the time holes aroud here are dug with a back-hoe. That would make a smaller mess.

There is a testing company that we had come out to do the drilling/testing. It was a home made driller from what I was told. It looked like a fairly simple gadget. They had 5ft drill extensions that they added on to get to 20 ft. About every 3-5ft they would take the drill out and take a sample of the soil. My dad was telling me back in 80's they had a small water well driller that was very similiar to this that he had seen at a general hardware store before. The weather hasnt been very cooperative down here recently. Were going back to work in the morning. I will try to update the pictures this weekend.
Is there anyway to send messages to my e mail stating that anything new has been posted?
