anyone know of a hatchery that will ship albino cc and fatheads this time of year i just got my jan/feb issue of pondboss and am building a ras system and am going to put the minnows in my 35 gallon and 65 gallon fish tanks

1 more thing i wish that i had not waited so long to get pondboss

Are you building the RAS similar to Theo Gallus' system shown in the new issue? Are you hoping to get the fatheads to spawn?

yes that is my plan for the minnows is to buy maybe a pound of them and split them up between my fish tanks
and for the ras i am hoping to raise 25 cc till spring if i can get ahold of some fish

In looking around lately at the albino channels most of the ones Ive found for sale have black/dark eyes. If I were you id wait to find or look for the albinos with the red/pink eyes, they are way scarier to see when you are out in the paddle boat. My aunt had one that was 12-13# and it was very cool also as the larger cats stay on the bottem and churn up the mud when you get close the them the albinos are much easier to see. There are not alot of sources for fish here and the cheaped place so far has been an oriental fish market that sells live cats, $5 a pound vs $10 per 4" fish from the pond supplier. Im sure calling a few local hatcheries in your state you could find some easily. The pond place had one cat that was about 16" and they sell them for $75-100, really highway robery.

I got beutiful albino's from Farleys delivery truck. They were in excellent shape and they were big and they had pink eyes and the best price I got so far. Not sure if they go by you or not.
