Found him washed up about a month ago, still barely alive when I took the pic. I just thought it was a small bass but when I started looking at him, something wasn't right ! Size is around 11"

The coloring didn't look anything like the other bass I've caught of similar size but I don't know, maybe he's just an oddball.

A tree stump. I cannot identify the species of tree however. If you moved the fish and counted the number of growth rings, divided by 1.0367548, and then added 11 you would arrive at the approximate age of the person that cut down the tree. If you visited http://www.stumpboss.com they could give you a more precise answer.

I would have strongly objected with your comment Bski but there is just enough truth in it to nullify any disagreement. To be perfectly honest with you I though this comment was aimed at me as well.... I agree; I suspect he was washed out as well as washed up.

It's like sitting in a theatre, watching a movie that flashes a picture of JHAP on every 12th frame.

Hey don't knock subliminal messaging. I managed to sneak in the GSA's corporate logo in Bill Cody's Pond Boss conference presentation it has resulted in a huge boost in GSA membership.

Is there a resident Therapist in the house? We have a few members that could use one. I won't name any names but his initials are jeffhasapond.

Been there tried that Jeff, twice.
One therapist took a mental leave of absence and now requires intensive therapy of their own.
The second therapist became a a proctologist. It seems that delving into my mind was considerably worse than delving into .... well you get the idea.

When bass get on the death bed, they loose their coloration. It's a LMB.

I just blew raisenettes all over the guy seated in front of me. Did he charge you extra for that or was it agreed upon? By the way, I think it's illegal in several states!

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

That might be a smallmouth bass? Position of maxillary bone screams largemouth bass.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

When bass get on the death bed, they loose their coloration. It's a LMB. Very true (stressed) or it came from turbid water, or it's an silver mutation like this bluegill (the bottom one) :

I was also thinking turbid water, Cecil. By the way, that's a cool-looking bluegill - CNBG, right?
