How do I treat bluegill bream that have signs of worms behind their eyes?

this is a ocular nematode. no real treatment method, expect for my pocket knife, I have performed a few surgeries. Not really harmful but can block vision. They are more common with large organic base to lake bottom, so getting rid of organics might help the situation. good luck
