I want to try tilapia for algae control but haven't been able to locate a source for the fish. I've done a number of internet searches for tilapia-aquaculture, hydroponics, etc, no luck. Any ideas where to find live tilapia?
Thanks.

http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/ I would think the state could help you out.

Thanks for the reply, BD. I hadn't considered searching through state agencies. It's worth a shot.

Joe, Here is site for Kansas Aquaculture Association. There are a couple of different farms that had tilapia earlier in the year, not sure about now. www.kansasaquaculture.org

Thanks Gumboot. There are a number of people listed on that site. I picked one and sent a query. If you're interested, I'll post an update.

Joe, I've spoken with a few of them. Don't hold me to it, but I believe the Hartly's, no relation to Meadowlark, in Kingman Cty, have them.
