I just purchased a PPL-36 Liner from Bend Tarp and Liner in Oregon. Has anyone had any luck with these liners?? Curious to hear good and bad stories? Installation, Leaks, Tears, How long you've had it?

Will they install?

Otto the liner is multi-layered. Heres a blurb from there website about it...

-"PPL-24® is a 24 mil (24 thousandths of an inch) thick Reinforced Polyethylene (RPE). It is a "5 layer" construction consisting of 3 layers of LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) coatings sandwiching 2 layers of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) reinforcing scrim. This method of construction results in an incredibly puncture and tear resistant lightweight liner material. To our knowledge, the PPL-24 is the strongest RPE available today, and Bend Tarp & Liner, Inc. is the nation's sole source for this product. PPL-24 was originated, developed, and popularized in a team effort by Bend Tarp and Liner, Inc. and Matai, Inc. USA, beginning in the 1980's."

-It feels like the stuff a large rubber raft is made out of. The material is pretty stiff.

-Yeah they have install guys but there expensive.

-There pricing is on there website at http://www.btlliners.com

The website looked good.The

the price is cheap enough.
They will send a sample. Something to look at.
If you already have the liner I would put it in.

The movie they had showing installation made it look a lot easier than it has ever been for me.(there was on audio maybe it had to be censored it would have had to on my job)

Its installed. I hired 10 guys to do it. It took 3 1/2 hours and it wasnt in the picture perfect conditions as seen in the video. 1/2 is in a hillside covered in thorny blackberry shrubs. The inlet was a little tricky too. They worked there a$$ off. But its installed now...and filling with water.

The question now is...how much water will I loose now? If any? I'll know once its filled.

The only water you will loose will be to evaporation.

Did you cover the liner with dirt?

post the pictures if you have any.

Nope. I'm trying to avoid that... This is a natural swimming pool. I dont want plant life growing in the bottom of it. If I have too...Ill put pea gravel. But as of right now its a big science experiment if the bottom of the liner will stay on the bottom or come up.
