I have a pond that is like 100ft x 90ft oval and about 7-8 feet deep in the deepest part in the middle, then sloping up towards the shore..
Can anoyone tell me how many acres it is?

If you go to Dunns fish farm site there is a computer program that will give you an esitmate.

Just a guess:
90 x 100 = 9000 SF
43560 SF per acre, so your pond is a little under 0.2 acre of surface area.
Using an average depth of 3.5 feet would equate to 0.7 acre-feet.

go to this site http://www.acme.com/planimeter/ use map to find your pond. point and click around the peremeter and it will claulate the acreage for you.

That is very cool! I went to a pond with a very irregular shape. I thought it was 22 acres. The planimeter said 21.34. Pretty darn cool.

That is very cool! I went to a pond with a very irregular shape. I thought it was 22 acres. The planimeter said 21.34. Pretty darn cool. The Willisimeter is a very accurate measuring tool. It's preferred by 9 out of 10 fish-squeezers.

Brettski -- if old time fish squeezers are within 90% (9 of 10)of the true measure, they are pretty darn happy!
