Many static water clams will thrive and grow quite well in a pond especially if there are sandy or gravel areas in the pond. Don't collect your specimens from a stream get them from a lake or pond. You are on your own for edibility.

Does anyone know of anyone raising clams commercialy in ponds? I read somewhere that you need a particular fish as a host for clams to multiply.
