I just got the 6 gallon automatic for christmas but i haven't used it yet. I probably won't be able to hook it up until end of March or April. I asked the same type question before i got mine but never really got any replies back from anyone.

I was trying to find a cheap feeder that doesnt have a reputation of breaking. I brought a on time fish feeder last year and it stop working after less than a week. All I want is the feeder I don't need the barrle or hopper. If anyone knows of a reliable one please let me know.

I think that Greg Grimes will eventually be doing a trial run. If successful, then I will be ordering at least one, and maybe as many as three of these units. Would you like me to keep you informed of the results?

Yeah that would be great! I have four ponds and buying 4 of the really nice feeders would get a little costly.

I'll bet I don't know anything before May 1, but if you haven't heard from me then shoot me a PM. We'll be lucky if the ice is off before April gets here.

Just bought a Moultrie Pro FeedCaster Fish Feeder from Bass Pro Shops today. It comes with a 30 gallon drum and costs $150. I won't set it up for a few weeks, but will be happy to report back later when I get it set up. I have 2 Sweeneys and 1 Stren and they all work great, but they are pretty expensive. I hope that the Moultrie works well. Bill

I have a Moultrie 15 gallon fish feeder I have been running since june. Never had a problem. Its battery powered with digital readout. Today it still shows 100% charge. I love it.

I set up the Moultrie Pro Feedcaster Feeder this past weekend and it works fine. I bought a Moultrie Solar Panel which is very easy to attach. It just plugs into the box that holds the timer and battery. Very easy set up. The only thing that I noticed is that it only throws the feed out about 20 feet. It claims to be able to throw it out 40 feet. For my purposes, this is fine because the feeder is attached to a 4 x 4 post at the end of a small pier, so the food all lands in the water. I don't think it would work well if installed at water's edge. Bill

Bruce, I tried out the new aquapro directional fish feeders today. They sent me two of them to try out. They seemed to work pretty good. I would recommend them based on performance today, but will know alot more after using them for a few weeks. I have one mounted on a 5 gallon bucket and one on a 300 lb tripod barrel.

My trout loved the food from the new aquapros! They aggressively devoured every piece of food thrown in less than 14 seconds.

Then I will go broke, they eat better than I do.....Although I did gain another 10 lbs over the winter, wish my fish would do that!
