Has anyone in Ohio the surrounding states tried stock trout in the fall ? They would just be for the cold months then hopefully catch them out before spring

Don't know why no one has responded but sometimes that's just how it goes. I know there have been many folks that have done that very thing. I don't know the correct temps for puting in the Trout but hopefully someone with experience or knowledge will chirp up soon. You could also google stocking trout/pondboss.
Goog luck and welcome to the best pond forum. Bob-O

Water should be around 65F for stocking trout in the fall. Numerous members have done this in the fall for a cool-cold weather fishery. Expect 10"-12" stocked trout in October to be 16"-18" by June with regular pellet feeding.
