I have a one acre pond with BG, Crappie, LMB and CC. I catch very very few BG but quite a few crappie which I stocked a few years ago. I'm most interested in the LMB for fishing (although I love to eat the crappie). Will the prolific crappie provide the forage for the LMB that is not being taken care of by the BG or lack thereof?

From what I have seen on this forum crappie do not always have successful spawns. They only spawn once a year whereas bluegill spawn multiple times per year.It would be better to have more bluegill so you dont have to worry about lack of forage for the bass.If you want more bass it would be best to harvest more crappie because they will prey on the bass fry. I hope that answers your question.
