I have a small half acre pond with blue gill, bass, and three carp. Have a good population of blue gill and bass but the bass are smaller than I want. Have started trying to enhance their forage with crawfish and fat head minnows. Have read several blog posts where carp are not really needed so will probably remove the two big ones and leave the small one. A big project.

The best thing is probably to reduce numbers of bass.

Adding fathead minnows to a pond full of predators is an expensive temporary way to feed fish. Pull out a bunch of the stunted predators as jludwig suggests.
