Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading the forum for the past couple of years and finally decided to join. I’m currently looking at purchasing a property to build a home and a small lake. So I’m sure I’ll have a lot of questions when construction time comes. One thing to keep in mind that I learned from nearly disastrous experience: Just because the soil is red does NOT necessarily mean it is good clay! Know your soils before going final on a deal, nothing is worse than buying land and only then discovering the soil can't support a pond.
