I am a newbie to managing ponds. My pond is in Southwest Wisconsin and is just shy of 1 and 1/2 acres. 13 feet deep at it's deepest end. I am about a mile away from electricity so am looking at using a windmill for aeration. Has anyone used an American Eagle windmill? Are they good? Any other suggestions?
Also on another note, can I stock fish AND minnows (food for the fish) at the same time, or do I need to stock the minnows first and get them established prior to stocking my desirable fish? I am so excited to start managing this pond for big fish but want to do things right.
Thanks in advance for anyone that can help me out.

Read the last 4-5 pages of this thread where he put that windmill on his pond and the results he had with it compared to the other windmill that he has.

If you stock the forage fish first, let them go through a few reproduction cycles, then stock the predator fish you will not have to spend as much money to get the same results. Either way you stock it is fine, just adjust the numbers accordingly.
