So ya'll be gentle ya hear! Its not big but its ours . laugh
1/4 acre of hopefully prime fun fishing and wildlife water hole.
Our initial thoughts are FHM,CC,RES and possibly HBG.
We are up for suggestions.
Its not big but is fairly deep - thats a six footer holding the pipe upright-
And the sides are as steep as Willie could get them with the old dozer.

I had pulled some concrete culvert and used it for CC habitat at the bottom - its 12"- already for some moisture

We had a good 3" soaker and it covered the pipes

She is full - total time 9 months - start to finish
There is a low spot on right back dam for emergency spillover

We will put a cook out area up here and plan to run electricity.
for cook out and aeration - just learning about that

Thanks for looking - great informative forum
Scenic. Looks peaceful.
Positively peaceful - you listen to the birds chirp and watch the grass grow
Gorgeous. Great work.

What are your goals for the fishery? More specifically, what kind of fishing do you enjoy, and who will be doing most of the fishing?

And welcome to the forum, thanks for posting.

PS When it comes to ponds, we love'm all....size truly doesn't matter!
It looks fantastic. Congratulations and welcome to PondBoss!

Maybe some rec fishing for the GGkids- and some table fare for us . I like catfish so thats why CC was mentioned. I started pond fishing as a young guy for about 3 years then 40 years salt water on the Chesapeake Bay and tribs. This pond is at out 60 acre retirement place.
There is a large freshwater lake close so for bigger fish that would be the choice.
Every nice
Lots of fun to be had with that pond
Is that a pvc wye on the end of the overflow pipe?
Yes that Y our pond guy recommended- water in the bottom of Y and secondary in top before it goes to overflow low spot.
I had a concern with Beaver as the neighbors pond has beavers and its only 200 yard down stream. There are no upstream ponds.
