I just finished my small clay dam (65' long) and it's leaking around the sealed 12" corrugated plastic pipe that runs through the bottom of the dam.
The water first rose about three feet and then stopped because of the leaking.
In the last two days we've had continuous rain and I don't know what the level is now or if the leaking has gotten worse.
How cam I stop this leaking???

typically a smooth wall pipe is used with an anti seep collar and not a corrugated pipe. i am curious how you have it running thru the bottom of the dam? that would mean you would need a standpipe (which is proper), but how did you make the 90 degree turn using corrugated pipe?

I agree with Scott. The drainpipe was improperly installed. Needs anti-seep collar(s), and proper compaction front to back. If the pipe hasn't been properly installed, it makes me wonder if the dam was well compacted as well. If not, you'll have other leaks as well.

Bob, I'm really unsure of the system that he's using as a drain. He has both 10" and 12" corrugated pipe. I have no idea how to seal what he is doing.
