Here is a question recently sent to me, How to calculate the volume of dirt removed based on 2: 1 slope, site area 2.00 acres, disturbed area 3.11 acres, earthwork estimate: cut - 12,403 cu yd, fill - 4,265 cu yd ???

Any of you engineers /dirt guys have any answers.

Me too. I do know(have read) that one acre ft of dirt is 1,666 cubic yards.

That would be roughly 10 ac-ft of dirt moved. I can work on the exact calculation this evening.

I wonder how many PM's were sent out? I received the same one too. The person that sent it has made no posts.
