1 year after construction, our pond is officially full. Recent rains raised the depth of the pond over 10' in one night. The overflow that I thought was a good idea at the time of construction is working as it should but I am losing fish, mostly FHM from what I could see. I put in a temporary seine to catch what I can but I definitely need to look into a long term solution. What are your thoughts? Thx David

Your pond looks nice.

Once the original stockers start reproducing loosing a few to high water once in a while is probably not that big of deal. The remaining fish will soon make up for it either by producing more fish or the remaining fish getting larger.

If it is only a "once in a great while" event, I personally would not worry about it.
