We hit our pond for a bit today. We caught some good fish. Can anyone tell me if this is a BG or HBG?

Light lower fin margins, big mouth - hybrid.

The upper HBG and the lower images are crappie.

HBG
LMB
Crappie
Crappie
all in reasonably good condition and that is unusual and very good to have.

Thanks folks. We knew the bass and crappie. I’ve never stocked hybrid bluegill, but there were a few green sunfish in the pond when we stocked BG. We seem to have one of the few ponds that work with BCP. All the crappie we caught were 10 to 13 inches (30ish) and probably averaged a pound or better. Bass were all sizes. Only the one HBG, but what we were using was pretty big.

Your bass numbers and sizes to crappie ratio is correct for growing BCP.

Thanks Bill, Question, I have just discovered this forum and want to help keep it going. Which does more good, subscribing to the magazine or a straight up donation. I know there are advertising dollars in play, which is why I ask.
