Spent a good few hours catching fish today, brought the little one with too. Caught 30 fish total but not counting yoy LMB. The only adult LMB caught was 14 inches and 1lb 10oz. We caught two 9 inch HBG and kept one that was gut hooked, it was a sliver over half a pound. Also we caught an 8 inch BG, which is good to see. By far the most amazing thing was that we caught 2 YP!?! One was 7 in and the other 6.5 in. If you notice, I never formally stocked YP. I put 2 in in 2015, and one or two snuck in with the BG when I stocked the pond. I'm assuming this means those have bred and survived. Ok, questions, does anyone know the RW of the two fish I took weights of, and how old are the perch I caught?

ThePondDragon,

I don't have a RW table for HBG but I think that they should be somewhere between the standard weights for GSF and BG. For 9" I have .55# for GSF and .70# for BG so yours is right at 100 IMHO. My table for LMB has a 14" Bass at 1.46# so yours is a heft RW of 111. All great looking and healthy fish!

I think my tables are sourced online to some articles by Dave Willis.

I'm going to hazard a guess that the perch are 3 years old. That would fit with a 2015 entry date. I stocked mostly 3-4" perch with a few 5" stockers in 2015 and this summer my original stockers are 10" plus a few 12" but they are happily gorging on high quality pellets so maybe they have fuller bellies.
