18.5" long, 4.20# RW 124

This brings the total LMB removed from the pond this year to slightly over 40# total weight. 9 fish weighed a combined 33.19#.

I re-caught LMB tag # 003 on the same swimbait, in the same area. Her belly was even fatter than the last time, so I'm guessing she was pushing 6# today.

Here's what she looked last time after being in a cage for 3-4 days without any food.

I have the gapes of the fish and will add them to the LMB gape thread.

Did you release #003?

Oh yeah, #003 is back swimming in the pond. She was put in the pond 6-2009 as a feed trained fish, and went into the pond at approximately 1# weight.

Here's the catch dates, length and weight since then.

5-11-2010 14.5" 2.26#
5-31-2010 14.75" 2.4"
Then not caught (at least by me) until this year.
7-1-2014 18 3/4" 5.51#
7-16-2014 didn't measure or weigh, just put her back in the water asap.

5-31-2010 it was caught on a Chartruse Roostertail.
7-2014 was caught on a 5.5" Sebile swim bait that looks like the YP in the pond.

really healthy lookin' fish. micromanagement of this sort is never easy, but it unquestionably yields big dividends. if a person is willing to put in the time to study and document as you have, generally the sky is the limit. props to ya big time for putting in the work. fish with proportions and stats like you've posted rarely "just happen".
