Air temp at 34 degrees, windchill at 25 degrees.

He could be thicker. I might have to thin the herd down this spring a little bit.

I'll pretend I didn't hear that. If you must thin the herd, stock them in Bruce's lake...there are a few in there now doing ok.

Sixty seven SMB in a 1/4 acre pond is probably too many fish. I 'll wait and see how well they take pellets once the water warms this spring and go from there.

There is still a little bit of ice on the south edge of the pond yet I am still catching fish on artificial baits.

That's a nice one! About 10" or so? You'll catch those all year long on artificial baits. Anything pink kills them.
